F2F Artists' CVs
In Finland, art and design go often hand in
hand. The institution which most of the artists in F2F have
graduated from is UIAH (University of Art and Design Helsinki).
F2F artists have a solid background in fine arts, design and
related esthetic and theoretical subdisciplines in the fields
of new media and digital technologies. All this enables them
to create interesting artworks and installations which are
often minimal, evoke interaction and leave the user with enough
time and space to absorb.
It is interesting, and also symbolic, that the artists participating
in F2F have tight working relationships with corporate entities
and media companies. Most of them either work or teach in
the new media field and have worked in artistic and commercial
projects related to wireless communications.
