AN INTERACTIVE TV PROGRAM
A minimalistic night time show, Aquarium tells a little story which focuses
on the lives of two sleepless and helpless city singles, Eira and Ari. They
are not capable of making up their minds. That's why they need the viewer
to take care of them. Luckily there is a telephone line into their lives.
The viewer can stimulate Eira's and Ari's minds and ease their loneliness
via the telephone.

The day is only a necessary transformation into the night. I feel sorry for
the people who have a daytime job. Or, perhaps I don't feel sorry for them,
but I wish them an opportunity to find the night, to experience its misty
peace. They say that in America there's a city that never sleeps. In a way
I long for such a place. But in a way, I also enjoy having the night for myself.

I've followed Aquarium for a few of nights already. I've found my "salvation"
for loneliness, insomnia. Thank you Ari and Eira, you've saved me many times...
I've noticed I'm not alone ;)
Aquarium was produced and broadcasted by the Finnish National
Broadcasting Company (YLE). The broadcast took over 130 hours of time in Finnish
winter. Ari and Eira survived and were very busy during the whole show. Team
Aquarium survived as well.
