Marita Liulia is an artist and pioneer of multimedia. Her "Maire" (1994) was
one of the first published art works in CD ROM format. Ambitious Bitch, a
CD ROM about women (1996, 2nd edition 1998) was her international breakthrough.
SOB (Son of a Bitch), a CD ROM about men and masculinity followed 1999. In
October 2000 Liulia published one of the first wireless art projects for mobile
phones "Marita Liulia Tarot". Tarot has already been translated
to English, Italian and Dutch. In her multimedia works Liulia combines art,
research, entertainment and technology with a witty sense of humour...She
has received numerous awards including Prix Möbius International, Prix
Ars Electronica and the State Award of Finland. Marita Liulia is the director
of Medeia Ltd, a new media content production company. www.medeia.com
